NATO reconnaissance aircraft spotted over the Black Sea

Today, on December 22, a Boeing P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft was spotted over the Black Sea airspace. This was reported on the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.

 

 

In particular, according to Flightradar, an American Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft was spotted in the airspace off the coast of Romania. It is noted that it departed from the Sigonella NATO air base in Sicily. Probably, the aircraft is conducting reconnaissance and monitoring the situation in the Black Sea.


The P-8A is a patrol anti-submarine aircraft created under the Multipurpose Naval Aircraft program. It is designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines in patrol, reconnaissance, anti-ship and rescue operations.
