It's too early to talk about the transfer of Russian assets to Ukraine - Kirby

The United States is negotiating with its allies to transfer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. But it is too early to talk about it. This was stated by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the National Security Council at the White House, during a briefing.

Journalists asked Kirby whether the United States and the European Union are working on the use ofnRussian assets in favor of Ukraine.

"I'm not going to talk about this particular proposal. But I will say, speaking in general terms, that we have talked to many of our allies and partners about what Russia's role should be after the conflict in terms of restructuring, rebuilding inside Ukraine in the long term. But we are not at the point now where we can talk about specific actions and what they will look like," he said.

At the same time, the White House representative emphasized that Russia must bear responsibility for its actions in Ukraine in the long run.

But Kirby believes that it is "too early to talk" about the transfer to Ukraine of Russian assets frozen in the USA and European countries.
