Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said during a telethon that the United States would help Ukraine in one way or another, despite the delay in additional funding from Congress.
"The support from the United States was, is, and I am sure will be. The United States will fulfill its commitment to help our country. These are not just empty words, you know that a lot has already been done," Danilov said.
In his opinion, American allies in Congress will consider additional funding for Ukraine and border security in January.
The NSDC Secretary urged not to make a tragedy out of this situation and not to reassure Ukrainians with statements.
"It is necessary to reassure the little ones and the sick, and to talk to adults in an adult way. I emphasize once again that in January this issue should be on the agenda in the United States, and we will have a positive result," he summarized.
