Japan will allocate 160 million euros to Ukraine to support economic recovery

Japan intends to provide Ukraine with 160 million euros to support economic recovery projects. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

 

 

During his talks with Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji, Minister of State for Economy, Trade and Industry Kazuchika Iwata and Japanese business representatives, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the support and expressed his intention to use the funds for priority areas of recovery, such as energy, housing, critical infrastructure, humanitarian demining and business support.


Shmyhal also expressed Ukraine's interest in establishing joint ventures with Japan, particularly in the areas of processing industry, agriculture, metalworking, engineering and IT.


He emphasized that Japan's experience in post-war reconstruction could be extremely useful for Ukraine in the context of economic recovery.
