German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has said that the European Union will not be able to supply Ukraine with one million artillery shells by spring 2024. He told journalists before a meeting of the EU Defense Council in Brussels, Bloomberg quoted him as saying.
"It's safe to assume that the one million rounds will not be achieved," Pistorius said.
He noted that Europe is working with the defense industry to increase production, but did not explain why the EU would not be able to fulfill the promise.
As we reported earlier, Kuleba confirmed the EU's possible failure to fulfill the plan to supply Ukraine with one million shells and noted that the state of the defense industry is currently deplorable.
