Israeli authorities did not allow the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to visit the country. This was reported by the Commissioner's representative Ravina Shamdasani.


"Unfortunately, the High Commissioner was not allowed to visit Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, despite his request," Shamdasani said.


Last week, the UN Ombudsman said that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza.
