Hepatitis A was detected in another region of Ukraine - Ternopil. One case has been recorded here so far. This was reported by the head of the Ternopil RMA Volodymyr Trush.
"Today, a resident of one of the communities in Ternopil region has been laboratory confirmed to have hepatitis A," he said.
According to the head of the RMA, an epidemiological investigation is underway, and biomaterial from contact persons and the environment is being sampled.
"The patient was hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of a hospital in Ternopil region. We are keeping the situation under control," said Trush.
