Israel strikes again at Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza

The Israeli army reported that today its planes conducted another strike on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. Reuters reports this with reference to a statement by the Israeli military.

Earlier, the authorities of the Hamas-controlled sector said that residential buildings in Jabalia were again hit by an Israeli air strike.

However, according to the Israeli military, the fighter jets struck a "Hamas command center" in Jabalia. According to the IDF statement, the Israeli military "can confirm that Hamas militants were killed in the strike".

"Hamas is deliberately building its terrorist infrastructure under and around civilian buildings, deliberately endangering Gazan civilians," the Israeli military said.

They also emphasize that they have previously called on residents in the area to evacuate.

Jabalia is a neighborhood on the outskirts of Gaza City where Palestinian families who fled Israel during the 1948 war have been living for generations. The Israeli military considers it as a stronghold of the Hamas militant wing.
