The Israeli army called the death of civilians in the Jabalia refugee camp, where Tel Aviv launched an air strike, a "tragedy of war." This was stated by IDF representative Richard Hecht, as quoted by CNN.
"This is a tragedy of war. (This area - Ed.) is a very complex battlefield. There may be infrastructure, tunnels," Hecht said.
As a reminder, yesterday the Israeli army shelled a refugee camp, where, according to some reports, hundreds of people were injured and dozens were killed.
Israel claims that Ibrahim Biari, commander of the Central Jabalia battalion, was killed in the camp. Hamas denies this. A representative for the group called the strike "a heinous crime against civilians, children and women."
