Israel has a plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt - Associated Press

Netanyahu's administration confirmed to the Associated Press that the Israeli authorities have a plan to relocate 2.3 million residents of Gaza Strip to Egypt.

Earlier, the Israeli publication Mekomit published this secret plan. Palestinians are to be resettled to northern Sinai. It was reported that the authenticity of the document was confirmed by an official of the Ministry of Intelligence.

It contains the following stages:

1. An order to the Palestinian civilian population to leave northern Gaza before ground operations;

2. Successive ground operations from north to south of Gaza;

3. The evacuation route through the Rafah crossing to Egypt should remain open;

4. Establish tent cities in the north of Sinai and build cities for the resettlement of Palestinians in Egypt.

The source emphasizes that this intelligence plan is advisory in nature and is not binding on the executive branch.

It is known that Egypt refuses to accept all refugees from Gaza.

The document does not say what will happen to the Gaza Strip after its population is expelled, but the authors consider this alternative to be the most desirable for Israel's security.
