The Government of Ukraine has decided to reopen the Kuchurhan international checkpoint in Odesa region, which has been closed since the beginning of the armed conflict. This was announced by the Cabinet of Ministers of October 10, 2023, No. 920.
The Kuchurhan checkpoint is located on the border of Ukraine with Moldova in the part of the country that has been under occupation by Russian troops since the early 1990s and is known as the "Transnistrian People's Republic".
As a reminder, following the outbreak of armed aggression by Russia on February 28, 2022, the Ukrainian government suspended the work of 79 border crossing points, as well as checkpoints on the border with Russia and Belarus.
Currently, Ukrainian citizens staying in Russia will be able to use the humanitarian corridor Kolotylivka-Pokrovka in Sumy region to return home.
