IFVs, tanks, weapons: Czech Republic and Denmark prepare aid packages for Ukraine

In the coming months, Ukraine will start receiving military aid packages jointly formed by the Czech Republic and Denmark. The packages will include tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms, the Czech Defense Ministry said

Denmark is financing the production and modernization of military equipment and weapons for Ukraine in the Czech Republic, as well as the transfer of stocks from Czech army warehouses, which will begin "in the coming months."

The first batch will include about 50 infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks, 2,500 pistols, 7,000 rifles, 500 handguns and 500 sniper rifles, electronic warfare, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment, and a "significant amount" of large-caliber ammunition.

Last month, the ministry said the first batch would include 15 modernized T-72EA main battle tanks.

Subsequent military aid packages will include 500 heavy machine guns, 280 recoilless guns, 7,000 anti-tank guns, 10,000 hand grenades, 60 mortars, and a large number of anti-drone systems.
