The supreme religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that Tehran had nothing to do with the Hamas attack on Israel, Reuters reports.
Ali Khamenei expressed support for Hamas' actions, considering the operation carried out from the Gaza Strip "an irreparable intelligence and military failure of the Zionist regime."
He also blamed Israel for what is happening: "This tragedy happened because of the actions of the Zionists. When cruelty and crimes exceed all limits, it can lead to a violent response. It was the Zionists who brought themselves to this catastrophe."
It should be noted that Israel has repeatedly accused Iran of planning the attack that occurred on October 7. However, so far, neither the United States nor Israel has confirmed evidence that Iran organized the attack.
