About fifty Russian companies specializing in the mining, processing and sale of diamonds may be under the threat of Western sanctions. This was reported by The Guardian.
It is clarified that this number of Russian companies is indicated in Ukraine's proposal to partner states.
Most of them are associated with the giant ALROSA, which controls more than 90% of the world's diamond production, i.e. a third of the world's total.
It should also be noted that this company is already under sanctions by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and other countries.
