Ukraine considers the possibility of switching to the Polish taxation system for individual entrepreneurs

Ukraine is considering the possibility of switching to the Polish model of taxation of individual entrepreneurs. This was stated by Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.

According to him, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, together with the International Monetary Fund, is studying this taxation model, which is more civilized and simplified than the current system of taxation of small businesses in Ukraine.

The Polish model of taxation of individual entrepreneurs provides for a higher transaction limit compared to Ukraine and different tax rates for different types of activities.

The main goal of this measure is to create a fair taxation system that distinguishes small businesses from medium and large ones. Such a transition should leave room to support small businesses and prevent the artificial transformation of large and medium-sized enterprises into "small" ones through tax evasion.

Danylo Hetmantsev noted that the Polish taxation model is the closest to Ukrainian needs and aims to create a transparent and fair taxation system that supports small businesses and prevents large companies from avoiding tax liabilities.
