European Commissioner proposes to extend ban on imports of Ukrainian products

Michael Geger, Head of the European Commissioner for Trade, proposed to extend the restrictions on imports of Ukrainian products. The basis for this proposal was an analysis of the market situation, which takes into account low prices for agricultural products, the impossibility of storing grain in Ukraine's neighboring countries, and the growth of Ukrainian exports to other EU countries, bypassing Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Hungary. This was reported by RMF24

It is not yet clear for how long the ban will be extended - until the end of 2023 or for a short period.

The final decision depends on the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. Nevertheless, many believe that the submission may be a signal of a possible extension of the ban.
