The United States will increase financial aid to Ukraine by $24 billion, and these efforts will be supported by both houses of Congress, despite the looming confrontation between the parties. This was reported by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in Bloomberg.
"We also remain committed to supporting Ukraine and have recently submitted a request for additional funding. I am pleased that there is support for Ukraine in both houses of Congress, and I am confident that we will be able to secure funding," she said at a press conference in New Delhi on the eve of the G-20 summit.
Yellen noted that reaching an agreement within the G-20 on the wording of Russia's invasion of Ukraine remains a "difficult task."
