US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Ukraine to emphasize Washington's unequivocal support for Ukraine. He said this during a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, CNN reports.
"I am here primarily to demonstrate our unwavering support for Ukraine. We see good progress in the counteroffensive. We want to make sure that Ukraine has everything it needs to succeed in its counteroffensive," Blinken emphasized.
He also emphasized the importance of providing Ukraine with long-term defense capabilities to prevent possible future acts of Russian aggression.
The Secretary of State said that the United States will work with partners to restore Ukraine's economy and democracy, with the goal of making Ukraine "a strong partner of the United States."
