Fragments of a UAV used by Russia in attacks on Ukrainian targets have been found in Romania. The country's Defense Minister Angel Tilvar confirmed this information and emphasized that the found elements do not pose a threat, Antena 3 CNN reports.
According to the publication, the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle was found in Tulcea County, near Plaura, on the border with Ukraine.
The Romanian Defense Minister visited the scene, and after inspecting it, he announced his intention to increase the number of observation posts and patrols in the area.
"I confirm that parts that could belong to a drone were found on this territory... There are no elements that could pose a threat," the head of the Romanian Ministry added.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities reported that a Russian drone had crashed in Romania, while the Romanian authorities persistently denied this information.
