Germany announced new investment projects for Ukraine

Ukraine, together with the German Credit Institution for Reconstruction (KfW), is implementing five joint investment projects worth EUR 247 million, and three more projects worth EUR 73 million are under preparation.

This information was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting with German Minister of Finance Christian Lindner, who arrived in Ukraine on an official visit.

Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the German government for various types of support, in particular in the military sphere, sanctions measures and financial assistance. He also emphasized that Ukraine has received more than 1.5 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from Germany, most of it in the form of a grant.

The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude for the support of the IMF program, Germany's important role in the EU's Ukraine Facility program and for actively promoting the process of European integration. In addition, Denys Shmyhal noted the importance of German business participation in the reconstruction process and called for further strengthening of sanctions against Russia and confiscation of Russian assets, which could become the main source of financing for the reconstruction.

For his part, Christian Lindner emphasized that Germany will continue to support Ukraine, and joint cooperation projects will be aimed at long-term results.
