Stanislav Kravchenko was elected as the head of the Supreme Court

The Plenum of the Supreme Court of Ukraine at its meeting on May 26 elected Stanislav Kravchenko, the head of the Criminal Court of Cassation as part of the Supreme Court, as the new head of the ZSU. 108 participants of the plenum out of 148 present voted for his candidacy. He will head the court after the scandalous dismissal of the previous chairman, Vsevolod Knyazev, who was arrested for taking a bribe. Votes for the new head were distributed as follows.

 

 11 - against all.

 

 Albert Yezerov, the judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who nominated himself, received 2 votes.

 

 Nataliya Kovalenko, judge of the CAS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - 13.

 

 Stanislav Kravchenko, head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 108.

 

 Ivan Mishchenko, judge of the KGS ZS - 14 votes.

 

 Therefore, Stanislav Kravchenko will be the new head of the Supreme Court for a term of four years.

 

 During the meeting, a dispute began between the judges about whether the Supreme Court should be elected now.

 

 In particular, judges Ivan Mishchenko, Lev Kishakevich, Viktor Prorok, Nataliya Kovalenko, Vitaliy Zuev voted against holding the Plenum on May 26.

 

 Stanislav Kravchenko is considered a representative of the so-called "old guard" of the Armed Forces, has a negative opinion of the Public Council of Virtue. His candidacy was also not approved by public representatives.
