We are doing everything to make the decision at the summer NATO summit "work" for Ukraine, - Zelenskyi

Ukraine is doing everything possible to make a decision that will "work" for our country at the NATO summit in Vilnius.

This is stated in the address of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

According to him, new meetings and negotiations will take place during this and the coming weeks. To a greater extent, it is about the visits of partners to Ukraine. The new weeks are expected to bring even more weapons for our defenders.

"Every week we add content for Ukraine from the summit in Vilnius. We are doing everything to ensure that the decision at the summit is one that will work for us. We will see, but, nevertheless, we are working on it," the president said.

Zelenskyi also noted the adoption of the declaration from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Thus, the president emphasized that a spade has been called by its proper name - it is about a clear recognition of Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide and a clear condemnation of racist ideology.

In addition, the president announced preparations for several interim security measures in neighboring countries - those that support Ukraine the most. Therefore, there will be new appeals to strengthen our ties with partners.

"This is our intensive foreign policy, various non-standard formats, maximum useful attention of the world to Ukraine, to our defense - we will continue all this. More and more results for Ukraine - air defense, artillery, armored vehicles, shells, training - all this is a must." - added Zelensky.

A country at war cannot join NATO. Therefore, Ukraine will have a chance to join the Alliance only after the end of hostilities.

Yes, the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12. Ukraine does not agree to alternatives to membership in the Alliance, so it is waiting for the "admission schedule" from the summit.
