Three former People's Deputies from the "Party of Regions" - Oleg Tsarev, Dmytro Svyatash and Ihor Markov - were informed of treason. This is reported by the SSU.
"The security service has gathered new evidence of the guilt of former people's deputies Oleg Tsarev, Dmytro Svyatash and Igor Markov, who helped Russia in waging an aggressive war against Ukraine," the report says.
It is reported that they are currently hiding from justice in the territory of the aggressor country.
"On the basis of new evidence, the SSU investigators notified all three persons involved of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law)," the message states.
According to the investigation, Oleg Tsarev cooperated with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense after the start of the full-scale invasion.
"It was established that the ex-people's deputy "leaked" the aggressor with information about the consequences of enemy airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine. It was he who gave the occupiers detailed information about the results of the rocket attack on the Kremenchug Oil Refinery. Tsarev received this information from another "regional" - Dmytro Svyatash," the SSU reports.
It is also reported that, as the investigators established, after February 24 last year, Sviatash actively supported the aggressor country, for which they considered him as a potential Gauleiter of the Kharkiv region.
The Security Service of Ukraine reports that this figure gave the invaders information about weapons, time and directions of movement of units of the Defense Forces in the territory of the region. The traitor received intelligence through his "party" connections in the Kharkiv region.
"Another suspect - former Regional People's Deputy Ihor Markov - regularly justified Russia's armed aggression against our state. The video with his provocative speeches was repeatedly shown on the airwaves of central Russian TV channels," the message reads.
SSU investigators additionally qualified Markov's criminal actions under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
Art. 436 (war propaganda);
Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of legitimacy, denial of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
