The Bureau of Reintegration of Moldova reminded that individual representatives of an unrecognized state do not have the authority to discuss the mechanism of involvement of peacekeeping forces.

The authorities of unrecognized Transnistria have asked Russia to increase the number of "peacekeepers" in the self-proclaimed republic "due to worsening security risks" in the region.

Leonid Manakov, the head of the PMR representative office in Moscow, made such a statement, he was quoted by the NewsMaker portal.

Manakov complained that today the number of Russian "peacekeepers" in the security zone does not exceed 450 people.

At the same time, their full-time number, established by the documents of the Joint Control Commission, is 3,100 servicemen.

The Bureau of Reintegration of Moldova has already responded to Manakov's appeal to the Russian authorities.

They reminded that the representative of Tiraspol in the Russian Federation does not have the authority to discuss the mechanism of involving peacekeeping forces.

"First of all, it is necessary to clarify the issue of the status of the so-called representative office, on behalf of which Mr. Manakov is speaking. Chisinau has been waiting for these clarifications for more than 4 years. Secondly, the parties who signed the agreement of July 21, 1992 can talk about the mechanism of peacekeeping forces, and not people who have nothing to do with it," the department said in a statement.

We will remind you that recently the Russian propaganda media announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly intended to attack Tiraspil and warehouses in Kovbasnaya. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, then explained that Ukraine is forced to keep military personnel in this area due to potential threats from the PMR.
