The Russians' propaganda is intensifying - in Finland they are criticizing the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain

The ban on the import of Ukrainian grain, which was introduced by several European countries, strengthens Russian propaganda. Such a decision is not rational.

This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of Finland, Antti Kurvinen.

"Finland understands the problem with the agricultural markets of countries neighboring Ukraine, but we are really afraid of the consequences of such unilateral restrictions," the minister emphasized.

According to him, such restrictions may affect the unity of the European Union in supporting Ukraine.

"I am afraid that this reinforces the Russian narrative about the war. Therefore, in our opinion, it is necessary to look for other solutions regarding the situation on the markets," Kurvinen clarified.

He expressed hope that the European Commission will find an alternative solution to the problem that has arisen. At the same time, it is necessary to establish the export of grain from Ukraine through corridors of solidarity, in order to make it easier to transport agricultural products to the seaports of European countries.

"It is not very rational to support Ukraine with one hand and block its exports and economic opportunities with the other. There must be other ways," the official said.

We will remind you that in April, several European countries banned the import or even the transit of Ukrainian grain. This was due to the fact that local peasants were unhappy with the impact of imports on domestic prices.
