Putin will not achieve his goal due to war fatigue - Berbok

The "Big Seven" countries must prove to Russian President Vladimir Putin that he will not be able to implement his plans in Ukraine. On April 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Berbock, stated this during a meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of the "Big Seven", writes Zeit.

"Now it's about showing Putin our determination that he will not achieve his goal due to exhaustion and fatigue," she said.

Burbok also noted that the "Big Seven" have so far resisted Russian aggression "as a crisis team in constant action", putting one barrier after another: winter aid to the population of Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and oil price restrictions.

"With our support, Ukraine survived the energy war and Russia's winter offensive. We will strengthen our commitments at the meeting in Japan," the minister added.

On January 12, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that, having failed to achieve its strategic goals for 2022, Russia seeks to buy time and wage a war of attrition.
