In the Czech Republic, the total costs of Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the war unleashed by Russia amounted to 33.5 billion Czech crowns (over 1.2 billion euros).
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic on Twitter.
The largest items of expenditure are social benefits (almost 400 million euros), health care (almost 216 million euros) and payments to Czech citizens and companies that offered housing to refugees (almost 253 million euros).
According to the agency, about 100,000 Ukrainian refugees started working after arriving in the Czech Republic, so they return money to the country's economy.
