Abkhaz politicians support the transit of goods through Abkhazia "from third countries". They announced this after the meeting of the working group on the possible transit of goods. The meeting took place on April 13 in the administration of the president of the self-proclaimed republic under the leadership of the deputy head of the administration Valery Papp.

"We once again confirmed that we agree to the transit of goods through Abkhazia from third countries. This issue should be worked out. Regarding the lifting of restrictions on some types of goods, we considered this issue at previous meetings. Although it is not within the purview of the working group, but it was included in the agenda and we expressed our thoughts on it,” Papba said.

At the same time, a member of the working group from the opposition, Timur Nadaraya, said that he is against trade with Georgia.

"Spare parts and agricultural products can also be transported from Turkey. We have trade relations with Turkey, ships go," he said.
