The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi will discuss the problem of grain export with his Polish colleague Robert Telus today. The meeting will take place on the border of Ukraine and Poland.
This is reported by PolskieRadio24.
The negotiations will take place at the Dorogusk-Yagodzyn checkpoint in the Lublin Voivodeship. The ministers will try to solve the problem with the export of Ukrainian grain through Poland.
"The Polish and Ukrainian sides are looking for ways to solve the problems of farmers due to the influx of agricultural products, in particular grain from Ukraine," the message reads.
Grain crisis
We will remind that farmers in Poland are demanding from the authorities to return the duty on grain from Ukraine. Farmers note that Ukrainian products, which were supposed to transit through Poland, settle in the country and are sold at reduced prices.
The previous Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Henryk Kowalczyk, resigned due to the grain crisis.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, discussed the issue of grain export during his visit to Poland. He noted that the parties found a way out of the situation.
Later, the Polish government announced that Ukrainian grain would be exported to other countries without unloading.
