Russia has long since returned to the "Soviet classics". Several signs confirm this fact.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, announced this on Twitter.
"Enemies are all around! The Russian Federation has returned to Soviet classics," he assured.
Confirming his thesis, Podoliak listed the following signs:
Isolation (closed borders);
Espionage (any foreigner, especially a journalist, is subject to arrest);
Total political repression (arrests, speedy trials, long terms).
"The remnants of "democracy" have been discarded, the USSR has returned," the adviser to the head of the President's Office summarized.
We will remind, on March 30, The Wall Street Journal journalist Evan Hershkovich was detained in Russia. He is allegedly accused of "spying on the enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex."
Later, the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow arrested the journalist. He may face up to 20 years in prison.
At the same time, US President Joe Biden called for the release of the journalist.
