The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft letter of intent of the government and the National Bank of Ukraine to the International Monetary Fund and the draft Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy.

 This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the order No. 242 of March 24, 2023.

 The order authorizes the Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko to sign the specified letter.

 The government has not yet published the documents.

 The memorandum with the IMF on economic and financial policy is signed by the president, the head of the government, the head of the NBU and the minister of finance. It contains voluntary commitments of the country's authorities to take certain steps.

 Normally, the memorandum is released by the IMF after the approval of the program by the Board of Directors.

 We will remind you that this week an agreement was reached with the IMF at the working level on a new four-year financing program for Ukraine worth 15.6 billion dollars. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the IMF program with Ukraine can be approved in a few weeks.

 The program is approved by the Board of Directors of the IMF. The issue of Ukraine is not on the agenda for the upcoming meetings yet.
