The Verkhovna Rada made changes to the state budget of Ukraine for 2023, increasing expenditures by 537.2 billion hryvnias. The document was supported by 326 deputies.
Government Bill No. 9105 provides for an increase in expenditures for:
The Ministry of Defense (together with the State Special Transport Service) - 372.5 billion hryvnias, of which wages (with accruals) - 364.3 billion hryvnias,
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (National Police, State Border Service, National Guard, State Emergency Service) - 98.4 billion hryvnias, of which wages (with accruals) - 95.9 billion hryvnias,
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense - 4.6 billion hryvnias (salary),
Security services - 9.3 billion hryvnias (salary),
State Special Forces - 31.6 billion hryvnias, of which wages - 1.6 billion hryvnias, provision of special machinery and equipment - 30 billion hryvnias.
National Anti-Corruption Bureau - 50.6 million hryvnias (salary).
The head of the Council's budget committee, Roksolana Pidlas, said that the law provides for an increase in state budget expenditures by 537.2 billion hryvnias, of which 96.5% will be directed to the national security and defense sector.
In particular, 518 billion hryvnias are directed to the needs of the military (cash support for the military, food, and the production and purchase of special equipment, including UAVs). Another 19 billion hryvnias are directed to the replenishment of the reserve fund of the state budget, which is used for unforeseen and urgent measures.
"The Budget Committee added to the draft law the rule that the funds of the reserve fund should be used, in particular, for the payment of one-time cash assistance to the families of fallen servicemen (at least 3 billion hryvnias in 2023) and for the construction of fortifications (at least 2 billion hryvnias)," Pidlasa wrote on Facebook.
