The Prime Minister of Latvia, Kristianis Karinsh, announced that he had arrived on a visit to Kyiv.
"On a visit to Kyiv to confirm Latvia's unwavering support for Ukraine as long as it takes. Ukrainian victory is crucial for a free Europe," he wrote on Twitter.
He was traditionally met on the railway platform in Kyiv, the photo from where he made public.
Before the visit, Karinshs wrote a column for the FT, where he indicated that a liberated Ukraine should join NATO to avoid another war.
