A 14-year-old Ukrainian girl died under mysterious circumstances in Great Britain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the cause of death should be determined by an investigation that has begun.
According to Sky News, citing police, a 14-year-old Ukrainian girl died after she was found unconscious on a beach in south Devon on Saturday.
Officers said they were called on Saturday night to reports of a missing girl in the Dawlish area of Devon.
A search was carried out with the support of the police helicopter and the coastguard, and a man was found unconscious on Dawlish beach.
Later, the Ukrainian woman was taken by helicopter to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where she later died.
Official identification has been made and next of kin have been notified, police said.
As reported in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the agency was informed about the death of a Ukrainian citizen in the county of Devon in the United Kingdom.
"The Ukrainian embassy is already cooperating with the British law enforcement officers to find out all the circumstances, is establishing contact with relatives. The cause of death should be determined by the investigation that has begun," the message says.
