The Tbilisi Court of Appeal rejected the lawsuit of the lawyers of the imprisoned ex-president of Georgia, Mykhailo Saakashvili.
The defense tried to appeal against the decision of the Tbilisi City Court of February 6, which left Saakashvili in the opinion, recognizing that there was no basis for the request for a postponement of the sentence and release due to health.
The Court of Appeal stated that it did not find legal grounds for satisfying the lawyers' complaints against this decision. The decision of the Tbilisi City Court remains unchanged, News-Georgia agency writes.
Saakashvili's defense draws attention to the fact that the Court of Appeals decided to reject the complaint without hearing the parties based only on the case materials.
