The war in Ukraine will be the central topic of the meeting between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden in Washington on Friday.
This was stated on Monday at a briefing in Washington by the Director of Communications of the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby.
"I can say with confidence that the war in Ukraine will be the main topic of discussion. And it will give President Biden another chance to thank the chancellor and the people of Germany for all the support they have given to Ukraine. They have really stepped up and expanded the capabilities that they are ready to send to Ukraine , with Leopard tanks being the latest example of this," Kirby said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will meet with US President Joe Biden on March 3 in Washington.
This is Scholz's first visit to the White House after the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
