On February 27, a new earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred in the city of Malatya, in the east of Turkey. As a result, dozens of buildings were destroyed, one person died, and another 69 were injured. This was reported by the Ministry of Combating Natural Disasters and Emergency Situations of Turkey, reports Anadolu.
The earthquake was at a depth of 6.9 kilometers and was also felt in the Turkish provinces of Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, Adiaman and Sanliurfa. Its epicenter was the district of Eşilütr in Malatya.

"We immediately took 20 of our citizens to hospitals. We rescued 5 of our citizens from the rubble. All our teams are now on the battlefield. Our teams are at the head of the debris in the destroyed houses," said Minister of National Education Mahmut Ozer.
