On the anniversary of the Russian invasion, the USA assured that its support for Ukraine will not weaken. At the same time, Washington believes that the war in Ukraine destroyed Russia's economy.
US Secretary of State Blinken noted that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's decision to go to war forced millions of people from their homes, exacerbated the food crisis, destabilized energy markets and undermined international peace.
"This war has destroyed Russia's international reputation, left Russia weakened and isolated, and destroyed its economy. This war is an attempt to seize Ukraine's territory and hinder its independent, democratic path," Blinken said.
In his opinion, Ukraine was able to rally the world around it this year. Blinken assured that the US strongly supports Ukraine and will continue to do so "as long as the sovereignty of Ukraine is not respected, and the people of Ukraine can create their chosen democratic future in conditions of freedom and peace."
