Jake Sullivan, the president's national security adviser, arrived in Kyiv on February 20 together with US leader Joe Biden.
This was reported by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.
Yermak called Biden's visit to Kyiv and the meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi historic.
"Ukraine today is the heart of democracy, which is fighting for freedom. I want to thank Joe Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan, with whom we worked, in particular, on the issue of the visit. The head of the OP emphasized that Biden's visit is strategic.
"Many issues are being resolved and those that have been left will be speeded up. Our common goal is Ukraine's victory over Russia and the triumph of Ukrainian soldiers and Western weapons," he added.
