President Zelenskyi's office publicly declared the inadmissibility of the idea of creating a so-called "hybrid tribunal" as a tool for investigating the crime of Russian aggression.
This was stated by the head of the OPU Andriy Yermak during the opening of the exhibition "War Crimes of Russia" at the Munich Security Conference.
He repeated the official position that Ukraine seeks to punish the leadership of the Russian Federation for the decision on armed aggression against Ukraine. "The fastest way to achieve this is to create a special tribunal for the crime of aggression. And the world is beginning to understand how important it is," explained the head of Zelenskyi's office.
However, Andriy Yermak reported that some EU states have come up with an alternative proposal to create a "hybrid tribunal".
"The new risk is that some countries are speaking out in favor of a hybrid tribunal, which is unacceptable. Why is a hybrid tribunal unacceptable? Because it does not give guarantees that it will lead to the lifting of immunity from Putin, Lavrov and Mishustin. This is the main problem of the hybrid project ", he said.
EuroPravda sources previously also confirmed that the proposal "on a hybrid tribunal" is becoming the main topic of discussion between the EU states. His details are not publicly disclosed, but in Kyiv they decided to publicly oppose him.
