Serbia denies that its citizens could be involved in the preparation of violent actions aimed at destabilizing Moldova before the overthrow of the government, as stated by the president of Moldova based on data provided by Ukrainian special services.
This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic.
"We demand from the Moldovan side to immediately provide all the information they have, because we have not yet received such messages from Moldova," Dacic said.
He added that Serbia cannot fail to react to this, because the appearance of such information harms the country's reputation, and the participation of Serbian citizens in armed conflicts abroad implies criminal responsibility.
"I instructed our accredited ambassador in Chisinau to urgently ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova to clarify the statements of the president of Moldova, and also to urgently provide us with all the information about the people who are suspected of complicity in these violent actions," Ivica Dacic emphasized.
It will be recalled that at the EU summit in Brussels, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukrainian intelligence intercepted the Kremlin's plans to take control of Moldova, after which the Ukrainian leader immediately passed all the information to his colleague, President Maia Sand.
On February 13, Sandu gave a special briefing at which she revealed the details provided by Ukraine - the Kremlin was allegedly preparing force actions involving saboteurs with military training from outside the country - from Russia, Belarus, as well as Serbia and Montenegro.
