The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said that since the beginning of 2022, China has allegedly recorded more than a dozen cases of violations of the country's airspace by balloons from the United States.
According to Bloomberg, this was stated by a representative of the department, Wang Wenbin.
"There is nothing unusual about US balloons illegally flying into the airspace of another country. Therefore, the US should think about its own behavior and change its approach," the representative said.
He added that China reserves the right to "take necessary measures" in the event of such incidents.
It will be recalled that in recent days, four suspicious objects were shot down over the USA and Canada, the first of which the USA has already identified as a balloon and considers it to be a Chinese spy apparatus.
Beijing insists it was a weather probe that accidentally went off course and called the US response excessive.
Also, reports appeared in the Chinese mass media the other day that China has detected an unknown object over the sea near the city of Qingdao and is preparing to shoot it down.
