The European Union should support Ukraine in three directions. It is about military aid, promotion of the peace formula and European integration of Ukraine.
This was announced by the President of the European Council Charles Michel at a press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
"I think the next few weeks will be decisive. So we need to remain united and sober. We need to provide support in three directions. The first direction is military. We have already said that you will receive the maximum number of weapons. These are air defense systems, and tanks, and other military equipment," Michel said.
According to the president of the European Council, the Ukrainian formula for the world should become a different direction.
"We would like to tell you clearly and openly that we support your initiative so that the UN charter and international law are respected without compromise. This is a political battle and we want to hold a peace summit soon to send the right message to the world," he added.
Michel emphasized that the third key direction should be European integration, since Ukraine made a choice, "which we heard on the square, it is a benefit in favor of freedom, democracy and the EU."
