The Prime Minister of Italy criticized Macron and Scholz for inviting Zelenskyі to Paris before the EU summit

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany hosted the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyі a day before he was supposed to arrive in Brussels for the EU summit.

 Politico writes about it.

Asked by journalists whether the visit of French and German officials to Washington was inappropriate in the context of the transatlantic disputes over "green" subsidies, she unexpectedly spoke about Zelenskyi.

"Frankly, I felt that the invitation to Zelenskyі yesterday was more inappropriate. I think that our strength in this matter is community and unity, and I understand domestic political issues, but there are cases when the priority of domestic political issues is to the detriment of the cause, and I think this was one of those cases," she said.

It was previously reported that Maloney will meet with Zelenskyi on Thursday in Brussels on the sidelines of an extraordinary meeting of the European Council.

As you know, on Wednesday the President of Ukraine arrived in Britain on an unannounced visit and in the evening of the same day flew to Paris, where he met with Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz.
