Norway plans to allocate more than 6 billion euros to Ukraine within 5 years

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Haar Støre and Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum presented an aid package to Ukraine in the amount of more than 6 billion euros.

This is reported by the NRK television company.

It is noted that the aid package includes funds for reconstruction and armaments for Ukraine.

"We propose to allocate to Ukraine 15 billion Norwegian kroner (1.37 billion dollars, - ed.) every year for five years. This is 75 billion (6.88 billion dollars, - ed.). There is a proposal that this year 50% will be directed to the defense of Ukraine, i.e. to military aid, and 50% to civilian aid," says Prime Minister Jonas Har Støre.

The prime minister added that he hopes to reach an agreement on the aid package by February 24, the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
