A representative of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, Olena Khomenko, will join the BUREAU of the Assembly of the Council of Europe. This was reported by the head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to PACE, Maria Mezentseva.
"Congratulations to Olena Khomenko, who was elected PACE Vice-President, 18 colleagues together with Olena were just approved. Olena will be part of the BUREAU of the Assembly, which forms the agenda and influences many decisions. She will also chair the meeting of PACE itself in the near future," Mezentseva wrote.
Khomenko was born on December 7, 1975 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Kyiv National University of Economics named after Vadim Hetman, majoring in "marketing management". She received a diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK).
The winter session has started in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), debates will be held on the legal and human rights aspects of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
