The police officers received a message from the border guards that they found four men on the outskirts of the village of Diyda, Berehiv district, who were trying to enter the neighboring country illegally. This is reported by the Zakarpattia Oblast police.
Police officers established that one of these four violators, a 32-year-old resident of the village of Bilky in Khust district, assisted the other three in illegally crossing the state border. In his "Mercedes-Benz Vito" car, the man delivered three Transcarpathians: residents of the villages of Bilky, Kraynikovo, and Pidhirne (ages 30, 31, and 36) to the designated location near the Luzhanka checkpoint. It was there, on the outskirts of the village of Diyda, that his clients were supposed to cross the border.
From the scene of the incident, police officers seized the money that the man was supposed to receive for organizing the crossing: 2,000 US dollars and 40,000 hryvnias.
The police detained the 32-year-old suspect. He was informed about the suspicion of committing a crime.
In the course of the investigation, the police will establish the possible involvement of other persons in the crime. The investigation in the case continues.
