During his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that today's plane crash in Brovary is the result of war, and called on those present to honor the memory of the dead with a minute of silence.
"I believe that because of the war experience that I and our society have today, this is not an accident, it is a war. It's just not only on the battlefield. War has multiple directions and no more accidents. All this, every person and every death, is the result of the war," Zelenskyi said.
As of 3:45 p.m., search and rescue operations in Brovary were completed.
In connection with the tragedy that happened in Brovary, January 19, 20 and 21 have been declared days of mourning.
Mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko reported that a pregnant woman was injured as a result of the helicopter crash. She is currently in the gynecology department.
