As a result of the plane crash in Brovary, which took the lives of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 17 people have already died, 4 of them - children. The fate of one child remains unknown. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in a summary as of 2 p.m.
"17 dead people were identified, including 4 children and 9 people who were on board. 25 people were injured (including 11 children), who were hospitalized (information is being clarified)," the State Emergency Service reported in Telegram.
Search and rescue operations by units of the State Emergency Service in the kindergarten building are ongoing.
"The fate of one child remains unknown," the State Emergency Service said.
Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 51 persons.
65 people and 12 pieces of equipment were involved from the State Emergency Service, including a canine unit and 3 rescue departments of the Medical Center of the ShR.
A mobile operative group of the State Emergency Service is working at the scene of an emergency.
On January 18, a helicopter of the State Emergency Service crashed near a kindergarten and a residential building in Brovary. On board was the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of an operational group of 6 people, as well as 3 crew members. Currently, 16 dead people are known, 3 of them are children.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that among those who died in the plane crash in Brovary, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy, Yevgeny Yenin, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Yuriy Lubkovich.
Speaking about the circumstances of the tragedy, the OP indicated that the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should have gone on a helicopter trip to one of the "hot" spots where hostilities are taking place.
