On Monday, January 16, Great Britain will announce the provision of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine. This is reported by The Guardian.
"The official announcement (about the transfer of tanks to Ukraine) is expected on Monday," the message reads.
According to the Ukrainian sources of the publication, Great Britain has already made a positive decision regarding the transfer of tanks, as the pressure on Berlin is increasing ahead of the meeting of Western defense ministers next Friday.
"A handful of Challenger 2 tanks, taken from Britain's existing fleet of 227 units, won't make much of a difference on the battlefield by themselves, but it will be the first time a Western country has agreed to send its heavy armored vehicles to Ukraine," the publication notes.
